Yoona Kim is a Boston and South Korea - based ajaeng performer, Composer, and Improvisor who create music based on traditional aesthetics inherent in Korean music. Her work is focused on the relationship between Korean music, time, and absolute truth through sound.
She is an artist director in Moderngagok which is a creative music band in South Korea. She has performed throughout India, Vietnam, North America and Europe.
She studied Musicology and ajaeng performance at Seoul National University in South Korea. Recently, She is pursuing master's degree in Contemporary Improvisation at New England Conservatory in Boston.
